Learning names

Our first day

What a busy and wonderful day we had today! The students in Prep A have been busy learning about the letter ‘s’ and have completed many activities such as handwriting, reading, maths and we even made a special poster to take home.

We brainstormed so many words on the board that begin with ‘s’ or  have and ‘s’ sound in the middle or at the end. We found lots of our names do too!

Here are our photos with our teacher Mrs Morcombe (there is even an ‘s’ in mrS – see?)

I hope the students enjoy a much needed rest tonight as we have had such a big and exciting day.

2015 Welcome

As the beginning of the new school year rapidly approaches I want to extend a warm welcome to all of my students and their families. I look forward to meeting every one of you but please bear with me! As a new teacher to the school initially I will be overwhelmed with names and may get a bit confused when I try and match which students belong with which parents. Laugh, correct me and be assured I will get it right next time!

I look forward to our class team growing together and learning together and having a bunch on fun along the way.

So pop in to GC2 – Mrs Morcombe’s Prep A class and say hello.

Prep A has 22 students. Here are our names created using Wordle. Can you find your name? How many of your friends’ names can you find?
